Generate QR codes from your AI agent or CLI

QR Agent Studio is one of the few QR tools an AI agent can run directly over the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — create, edit, route, and track dynamic QR codes from ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or your terminal.

Most QR tools make you click through a dashboard or wire up a custom API. QR Agent Studio exposes its QR toolkit over MCP, so an AI agent can create a QR code, change where it points after printing, add a logo, set smart routing, and read scan analytics — straight from chat or the command line.

How to connect

  1. Create an API key in the dashboard → Skills & MCP → Connect. Keys start with qras_.
  2. Add the MCP endpoint below to your client and send the key as the x-api-key header (or the QRCODING_API_KEY env var). For ChatGPT, paste the connector URL the dashboard gives you.
  3. Ask in plain language — e.g. "Create a dynamic QR code for https://example.com and add my logo."
  4. Change the destination anytime — the printed QR stays the same; only where it points changes.

What your agent can do

Create any type — URL, WiFi, vCard, email, SMS, phone, geo, calendar
Dynamic QR — edit the destination after printing
Smart routing — device, country, language, schedule, A/B, expiry, password
Scan analytics — time, device, OS, browser, country, referrer
Branded center logos + SVG / PNG / PDF export
Bulk + CSV campaigns and scannability validation

FAQ

Is there an MCP server for creating QR codes?
Yes. QR Agent Studio runs a hosted MCP endpoint. Connect it to any MCP client — Claude, Codex, or ChatGPT — to create and manage QR codes with natural language.
Can ChatGPT make a QR code and change where it points later?
Yes. Add QR Agent Studio as a ChatGPT connector and ask it to create a dynamic QR code. Because the code is dynamic, you or the agent can change the destination later without reprinting.
Can I generate QR codes from the command line or Codex?
Yes. Use the MCP endpoint from Codex or any MCP-capable agent, or call the REST API directly with curl using your qras_ key.
Which AI clients are supported?
ChatGPT (custom connector), Claude and Claude Code, Codex, and any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol. A REST API and OpenAPI spec cover everything else.
How is this different from other QR generators?
Most QR tools are dashboard-first or need a custom API wrapper. QR Agent Studio is MCP-native: an agent operates the full QR toolkit directly, including dynamic destination edits, smart routing, and scan analytics.
